We saw a Quicksand 3rd gen with bedrack and RTT pass by... Dude had tinted windows and a Yoda Mafia decal on his L/R window visor. AFAIK, no ack as he passed by us three times.

 

Pretty sure we saw him. They pulled down to the cove, took some pictures, then left and camped above from what we could tell. Also...

To the guy that camped across from us and decided to blast Eminem at an obnoxious volume considering you know...neighbors...fuck off. I understand playing music is fine to an extent, but it was 10:30.

 

The worst.

Need a recommendation for an exhaust shop in the South Bay. This happened somewhere between Hawthorne and Tonopah. Nice little hole in the pipe where the hanger used to be.

 

I'm leaning that way for 99% of these guys. You reminded me. Another guy felt the need to blast by, stop at the road down to our camp, honk his Dukes of Hazzard horn, then speed off. This was the second night, probably around 9:30-10.

I had my reroute done by them as well as several others on this site I believe. Quick and cheap and does good work.

 

They're not doing well at endearing themselves to the other trail users. The only guy I saw being cool was parked. It seems once the engine starts, their inner douche comes out.

Since I know folks are interested in Loon Lake trips this year, I thought I'd share that the construction occurring on the north end can apparently be heard pretty loud on the south. Had someone at work post up their review from a hike this past weekend and said anytime they stepped into a clearing all they could hear were jackhammers.

Maybe okay for a day trip, but probably a disappointing weekend for many if you're actually looking to get away from noise.
