Added the bed rack, now to get it loaded up

Looks like they pop out but then there would be holes exposed. I'm way too OCD for that.

 

Weld those suckers up! Granted then you'd need to paint the whole thing (cause OCD wont let you paint only a small area I'm sure). lmfao

 

They match your little red hook at least?

 

I know. I keep meaning to paint the hook black but haven't yet. I'm hoping the red grows on me.

Edit. This really is a first world problem. I love the skid. It protects the truck and gives me easier access to oil changes. The non-lettered TRD was just a minor preference. I still love the look and function..

 

Replace with silver tuffskinz inserts. Should be much less noticeable, probably similar to the appearance of the original skid.

Changed out these today. Went with the

$134 Toyota PT413-42191 Toyota Genuine Parts - Led Foglight Black (PT413-42191)

Toyota PT413-42191 Fog Lights. Also added the led raptor lights as well.

 

Why don't you guys go out and use the skid plate. It won't much matter what color it is once you dent and scratch the heck out of it.

The garage door opener was giving me trouble so I pulled the trigger on the Gentex Homelink mirror. Very easy install, only hard part is remembering that’s what I push to open the garage door now.

Also, dipped the Bro badge & “installed” some Amazon lug nut covers to kill the last of the chrome.

 

Plastidip the v6 and Tacomas. Debadged the sr5

 

I almost did that too, but then took out the led light bulbs after some research. Replaced with typical bulbs, door opens from four houses down now.

 

Land locked!!! Lmao.

 

So what did I do today? While walking past the back of truck at work, I just noticed that my rear bumper is a bit... off.

The difference in the fender-bumper gap is over a quarter-inch and its shifted to the left just a bit. Is this "typical"?

 

There are many posts on here where people loosened the bed bolts and made alignment tweaks. Seems fairly common.

Ah. Thanks, good to know. I was thinking of adding some more d-rings to the bed floor, so long as I've got the bed bolts loose, I might try to do some "fine-tuning" at the same time.

That quirk has been there for the year-and-a-half that I've owned the truck, but now that I know it's there... Grrrrrrrrrr.
