New 2016 Tacoma Costs Me $12.00

I have had maybe 12 different Toyota trucks of all sizes and just sold my 2016 Tacoma for almost the same price I paid for it.

In March, 2016, paid $27,012 for a new 2016, Tacoma, AC, V6, 4x2, Tow, Sirius (I pay no tax) and sold it yesterday for $27,000 with about 25,000 miles on it. That 2016 cost me $12.00 in actual truck costs.

It was super clean and always had Costco seat covers on it and WeatherTech mats and Undercover bed hardcover.

Sold it and bought the wife a new 2019 RAV4 XLE, Auto, SunRoof, Alloys, etc. --- got a great deal on it too ... $26,000.00 Total .... Out The Door @ 2.9%.

Now that the wife is happy .... I will look around for something for me ...

The moral of the story is ... if you buy a Tacoma and take care of it ... it will pay you back.

PS ... I had couple of older (22R) Toyota pickups (bought new) and IIRC the resale on those was almost same as new price too.

PPS ... That 2016 Tacoma SR5 was maybe the best Toyota P/U that I have ever owned too.

 

If you did that where i live it would have cost you almost $2,000 in sales tax alone.

Georgia has a 7% Tax I think ... but some disabled veterans are exempt.

It was actually the best Toyota truck (a tie with the R-22's) that I have ever owned ...
It was the oldest and most high mileage vehicle that I have ever owned at 25,000 and 40 months old.

I usually trade buy and sell/trade often ... but I really liked that 2016 SR5.

No ... just time to change.

I would love to have a Supra ...but the lowest priced dealers are MSRP + $7,000.00 and that is way above my price range.

It will be a long time before the Supra is below MSRP ... if ever.

I would love to find a super cherry Honda S-2000 or BMW M Roadster (had a 1999 or 2000) Z-3 M Roadster and I should have NEVER sold it.
