Im currently running an Icon Stage 3 with the tubular unibal UCAs.
Tires/Wheels are: Goodyear UltraTerrain 265/75/16s with SCS Stealth Ray10 wheels
16 X 8 6 X 139.7 4.00" -12mm (I love these wheels and better backspacing and offset) but obviously pushes the tires further out in the wheel well.

I have the CMC done, but Im still rubbing at 3/4 turning lock, even just driving around town and going up driveways and its driving me crazy. Mostly on the out edge plastic area towards the rear of the wheel well.

Here is a pic of where I am rubbing at 3/4 turn
    wheelrub.jpg

Im looking at some UCAs that will allow castor adjustment, and am trying to decide if I should stick with Icon and go with the new tubular delta joint UCA and save a bit of cash, go all the way and get the billet delta UCA kit or try something different all together.

I have been running Icons for 3 years and have zero complaints so far, so I have some brand loyalty, but I have been hearing good things about the SPC adjustable UCAs lately, and the the pricing is definitely enticing. But I am not really familiar with the SPC brand and looking for some feedback on these (or other similarly priced) adjustable UCAs.

I need that ~4deg of castor to I can finally stop rubbing. XD

Any feedback or tips would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

Might be easier and far less expensive to trim plastic?

    :notsure:

? Correct me if Im wrong, but it will allow the spindle up to 4deg adjust ability forward so the wheel and tire sit further forward in the wheel well?

It might help a little but to be honest, with the setup you have, it's most likely not going to be enough. I've done a lot of CMCs and always trim that corner of plastic. 3rd gens have a lot more material there (compared to 2nd gens) that gets in the way but it's easily remedied.

The spindle doesnt move forward at all. In fact the top of the spindle tilts back towards the cab mount mount. Hence you still get positive caster. Trimming is the only way to clear it and its going to be worse if you offroad it

Someone that knows what they are doing (me) or has a steady hand (also me) can make the cut look less intrusive while still giving you the clearance you need.

It's not hard if you take your time though.

How much caster are you running? You probably need to redo your CMC

Right but its the positive castor is what I want. Especially if someday I want to go with 35s :)

Bruh... I'll be real with you: UCA's alone are not going to get 35s to fit. You have to get comfortable cutting. It's not rocket surgery or brain science....

It looks like you’re rubbing on your fender not the cab mount.

Whats even more strange is that these tires are the same size as my last set of Duratracs, but those didnt rub at all like this. The only thing I can thing of is the alignment shop I went to recently changed it up a bit too much
