tell me more about the no vinyl on b pillar. How did it come off? Is it painted underneath, or did you have to paint it?

You didn't as me but, roll down your windows, heat it up in the sun (I did mine in March and used a hair dryer) and peel them off. Factory paint is underneath.

I have removed the stuck on stuff. I love it without. I have been contemplating the tacoma in black though. Just not sure yet. I had the large TRD Off Road sticker.

Anybody got more pics of the de-vinyled B pillars? Can’t decide if I like it or not lol. It looks really good in some of the pics but others not so much and I can’t make up my mind.

I appreciate the intent but it’s gonna take at least an extra two hours on pornhub to get that image out of my head.

I removed the TRD sport decals only because decals look cheap to me. I left the badges.

I know it’s a matter of personal taste but, I think debadging makes the truck look too plain especially the light colors.

    Depends on the color imo.

For me, quicksand is one of those colors that needs periodic black to break it up and help it stand out, if that makes any sense; the key is consistency from different angles. Of course, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I think we could all agree on getting rid of the awkward v6 badge though.

Thanks for everyone’s input and pics! I guess my concern now would be the “shadow” that might be there once removed. I think I’ll probably see how it looks and if it seems too faded then maybe I’ll plastidip and put it back on

A cleaner wax will take any shadow right off.

I debadged the doors and changed my bed decals to matte black. I like it because Now it depends on the angle and lighting whether you can see them or not.

I had a lot of ghosting. I washed and waxed with no luck. I bought Maguire’s scratch x and used it a few times and it worked perfectly. Then I rewaxed.

I totally get the de-badging, makes alot of sense for folks that want a clean look. I don't understand removing the B-pillar vinyl. I think that vinyl really ties the window area together nicely, especially if the front is tinted to match.
