That's right. You do still need the crawlbox stick. That link on Ebay will work for you. Or there's a place in CO called YodaJims that you could probably source one from. I'm sure the TG stick will work just fine but if you can save a few bucks do it. lol

That 100% would not work. Should be a fill plug somewhere, or you will have to remove the shifter and dump it in.

Again, you have one drain plug in the adapter, so the crawl box and adapter would have to share oil, otherwise there would be no way to drain the oil out of the crawl box only. Sucks about the sealed shifter assembly. If I were you, I'd take out one of those smaller pipe plugs that look to be for a site tube, and fill through there using a small 12V oil pump.

This is what I use for extracting oil out of my 7.3 HPOP reservoir and it works well. Should work to pump oil into the crawl box pretty easy

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AOAFP9C/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

That shifter won't work on the gear driven case, it's for the V6 R150F case which is chain driven. You can clearly see the mounting pattern is different than the 4 cyl gear driven case (RF1A). A gear driven case shifter should be easy to source from a junkyard. If the lever is hacked off, you should just be able to get the shifter itself and undo the old snap ring and pop this one in its place

Have you split the stock case yet to remove the interlock pin and grind down the shift rail?

Welp, we can officially rule out atlas adapter from advance as being a possible solution for us MT guys. For one it's a male to male adapter, and two the atlas splines are slightly larger due to a wider diameter of the output shaft. Whatever marlin found from advance that they said was a loose fit is not this one.

Just thinking out loud here.. if this adapter was built for the FJ 6 speed manual trans then in theory it should be a perfect fit to the taco trans already. Maybe I could take measurements of the 22 spline male end of this adapter and measurements from the splines on the crawlbox input and have one made without dropping the tcase to take measurements. If I can find someone local I could bring them both parts. Thoughts?

damn that sucks, at least it was worth a shot. Like I said in this post here

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/official-crawlbox-bs-thread.422186/page-51#post-21097625

Give a machine shop the input shaft of a 6 speed transfer case and the input shaft of a standard 23 spline automatic FJ case and tell them you need that coupler made with a 22 spline male end and 23 spline female end. A good machine shop should be able to it without issue, but a one-off might be pricey. If they did it in batches you could probably get a much better price. Hell if you can get them made, you'd be one step ahead of Marlin since they can't seem to get them made, maybe even sell them to Marlin directly LOL

In addition i think i paid $300 a shaft. So expect $400-600. 800 is robbery.

I was really hoping for a way to have the adapter made without the down time of pulling my t-case. With all the snow we got in Colorado this year, it's a short wheeling season as it is and pulling my tcase right now is not something I really want to do until passes are closed by snow again.

Today I finally found a local shop in Denver that says they can make one in 2-3 weeks. Until they see the parts they said it could be anywhere from $600-1200 for a one off and the price would obviously go down as quantity increases.

I'm thinking it's time to start a thread to gauge interest in a group buy!
