Hi all, a Northern California off-roading enthusiast has going missing.

Please keep an eye out for Andrew (Andy) or his Silver ‘94 4Runner.

Junior Brown is coming to Berkeley on Sept 7th. Freight and Salvage. If you haven't seen this guy, do yourself a favor. A fun night out. The wifey and I will be in attendance.

Been sleeping on pads for years; I backpack so for me, everything is ultralight.

For those moments that I do some car camping/dispersed camping, I still find myself taking one of my ultralight sleeping pads. I sleep like a baby every time.

This is the one I've been using for the last 2-3 years -

    I've got a regular-insulated and a regular-wide-insulated.

I use the vector pad, long-wide and insulated, and all is well with it. Beats sleeping on the bare ground and I don't want to put a RTT on top of my 4Runner since that raises my CoG too much for my liking

I have the single person version of this cot tent and it’s great. A little bulky and awkward to handle, but it’s definitely nice once it’s set up. Off the ground and you’re protected by the elements.

I figured they are never as big as they say they are, so a double would just be a single with some extra room for cloths and such. A little bulky is right. The double pictured is 50 pounds.

Grizzly Peak Club? How many? I try to stay away on week-ends to avoid the crowds.

At the moment, there are 11 registrants including myself. The area becomes the McCrowded especially in october for the caddis hatch.

Yeah the single cot version is great for one person out wheeling or exploring for a couple days, but anything more then a couple days, and/or a dog/wife included, good luck. The double would have to be the way to go.
