This clutch pedal sucks — what’s wrong?

    It is throttle by wire. Slight delay between pedal and computer and throttle body.

    Can you start off in 2nd gear? :notsure:I guess that wouldn't help, the last vehicle that I had that was a stick had a weird spot when you let out the clutch. I thought it was me until I saw that you could replace some valve. I went back to automatics after that.

    Your research is correct. Us 4 banger 5spds don't have a silly accumulator. I don't think I have/had the issues you're having. Guess I smoked the OEM clutch on hill climbs long before it gave me these fits yours has.
    I went with a kit from LC Engineering and replaced the clutch and all associated bearings. Night and day difference.

    It's not a sports car, so I really don't give a flying pig at what point it grabs, just that it grabs. I do need to adjust the pedal, however.
