They stopped making the FJ because sales were terrible. Most vehicles have a niche group of buyers, doesn’t mater how much they like it. It’s how many of the non niche buyers want the vehicle.

Toyota had a questionnaire on their website after releasing the concept. Asking people if hey would buy the FJ. Like probably most people I answered yes, because it looked cool. I was young at the time and knew I would never buy one. Just wanted to see if come to market. I remember the first time I worked on one. Thought it was weird. 3 wipers, terrible blind spots. Small windows. Just wasn’t something I would ever really consider to buy.
