I liked my predator steps, but I like them off too. If I have any steps at all it got to be these. What's everyone's thoughts.IMG_20190502_070948422_HDR.jpg IMG_20190101_121024134_HDR.jpg

Funny you ask that,, I'm on my second set. I bent the crap out of the first set bouncing off a big rock while wheeling, like an idiot I replaced them knowing full well that I'm probably going to mess them up again but I love the look. They hang down just enough to grab everything along the trail, tree branches, stumps, rocks, ect.... What's the price for vanity? Only you can decide that! When it happens again I probably will start looking for a good looking set of sliders instead.

I won't be doing any serious off roading, maybe the beach and a dirt road but that's it. I love the look both on and off, but every time I see a set I'm like damn they look great.I need to reinstall mine. I think they are going on today.

Mine came with the truck, but I would not have ordered them.

Come in handy when I need to knock a few inches of skin off my shins!

I'm 6'1" and the wifey is 5'5"; neither one of us needs the steps to get into the truck. My preference would be for a nice set of sliders.

If you have them... And you have whoever that uses them to get into your truck. Wife, kids ect. Keep em on. I wouldn't use them because I don't need them getting in and I'm single so.

I use mine every time I get in and out of the truck. Not because I need it but to keep from wearing out my seat from sliding in and out. My last Toyota had a big hole in the seat after a few years of that. My seat still looks brand new after four years. The passenger seat will wear out before mine does because my wife will not use the step to get out. She likes to just slide out. Damn it girl quit that I tell her all the time. So yes I would vote to leave them on.

On...I just put that set on my truck and love them. Like one of the post before I put them on to minimize wear on my leather seats by sliding in and out.

I love the look and function of the predator step. But, when I ordered my truck, I KNEW that I would be taking the truck off road, and the predators would just get hung up and mangled. So, I ordered the tube steps instead, and it does help me get in the truck. Yes, I am short. Someday, I hope to replace the tube steps with sliders, but priority-wise that will be AFTER I can afford to put full skids under the truck, which may be a while.

I thought you scored a great price on a set of OEM running boards? Was it these instead?

I see the steps as something to get broken off later, I'd leave them off.

I go through changes. Off right now but will put them back on in 20 minutes.
