Hi all... just traded in my 2006 DCSB Tacoma Off-road on a clean 2009 F.J.
Hope it's as reliable and bulletproof as the Taco was!!

Nice! I really would like to pick one up too, but I'm just too far in on my 3rd gen.

Question... do these things really need Premium gas?

IIRC they changed them in 2010 so they didn't need premium. Prior to that I think they did.

I was going to buy a brand new 2012 FJ, and it clearly stated on the window sticker that you needed to run Premium gas.
I wish I had bought it :frusty:

Anyone know where I can pick up one of the left foot footrests that goes on the driver's side floor just behind the firewall? Mine is missing it. It looks like it just somehow snaps on with some plastic fittings or some kind or another.

Fyi... be careful with your predator steps (side steps). They are not rock sliders, they mount to the body, not the frame. If you drop them on a rock, they will damage the body. I replaced mine with real sliders.

Thanks for the info. I'm not a real intense Off-road person, so I doubt that I'll ever be in a situation where that will happen, but I WILL remember your reminder!
