looking for a stock rear bumper (rock auto?)

Bought my truck late last year. Rear bumper has always been bent. I will need the bumper and the plastic pieces on top of it (they aren't clipped in properly and gouged up pretty good). I'm also not sure of the condition of the brackets behind the bumper, may or may not be bent.

To get all the parts from the dealer would be pricey (yes, I know I've spent a lot on this truck already).

I'm looking at the one that is $209.79

What's the fitment like? I'll be getting the bumper painted white.

 

An option might be to find a take off where someone is going high clearance. IIRC all '05-'15 rear bumpers are the same fitment.

 

I'm pretty sure they are the same but I get different part numbers for non-SR5, SR5. Is the SR5 chrome?
I also would need something local, costs too much to ship a bumper.

 

I believe the SR5 bumper comes with that black plastic on top. I'm looking at getting one from Rock Auto, too...

 

I have a base model (non-SR5). I believe they all come with that black piece.

 

I was just going by a photo on the RA site. I would want that, one way or the other...

 

Yes, the SR5 came with chrome bumpers. And yes, my chrome rear bumper needs replacing as well.

OP, consider Craigslist if you haven't. I was looking for a replacement bumper for my 2005 and found quite a few in the Northwest CT / Western MA CL listings ... Just a thought ...

 

Have you checked car-part.com for a salvage bumper

 

one of the issues for me is that i’m not sure if the plastic bumper is a direct fit for the chrome. or will we need additional parts?

 

The chrome and body color bumpers are interchangeable
