Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
I had a tURD 2.8 stealth that I swapped to from the stock 3.0 pulley from the get go at install. After the melee that ensued in trying to yank it off, I would HIGHLY recommend pulleyboys from the start regardless if you start at 2.7/8 or 2.5. As a wise man once said, "anything less than a qwickchange setup is asking for the world to burn."

yah, I like the idea of the Qwikchange setup and was deciding what to start with. Jumping right in so why not just go 2.5 and call it a day.

Less expensive then walking down the ladder. Start close to the finish line.

Some crazy people (@12TRDTacoma :D) used to run 2.3 pulleys with just the TRD tune and it seemed to work. However, I think now that we are more versed in proper tuning, may not be advised any more...

Ahh so you are one of those guys that relocates the oil filter under the piping hot exhaust manifold... You have no idea how many wrenches you have made me want to throw.

It hasn't in the past but I'd just rather not put myself in a position like that one. Because once it's down, it's really down until it's done. I don't like that feeling anymore these days.

Screw them. I remember when I got started with leg work on this blower people would try and troll me the same, but the end result was what we have here today so I'm happy I remained mostly undeterred by their attempts due to their own underlying insecurities. Lol.

Ew God, what were they thinking in doing that on the C8?! It's so OOGLAY!!!

It probably was. Those guys are a condescending breed of their own.

Very nice! The tranny valve body upgrade is a fun one. Just take your time and the end result is a highly rewarding one.

    Wise choice my friend.

Yeah it'll work, but you really get the most out of the tune by having HPT to refine what new found power the pulley has provided. Not to mention because there is now more air being introduced the timing must be properly stepped down to avoid spark knock.

Good move you'll notice a huge difference going from stock 3.0 down to 2.5. No need to waste money and fun going to a 2.7 first. If you have the right fuel mods i.e. fuel pump and FPR, a 2.5 is safe on TRD tune

There are more than enough engineers to give the entire profession a bad name. Oh well. Everyone laughs at us until they see our paycheque

Oh snap. When I got my S/C, 2.85 was the generally accepted safe size everyone was running ... lately it's been 2.7, now looks like 2.5 will be the new king. Long live the whine!
