Still have this ongoing problem with my 03 2.7L. It’s idling around 2K rpms and then after driving it idles around
3K or it jumps from 2K-1K back and forth every second or so. I’ve traced and replaced vacuum hoses, sprayed everything with carb cleaner (checking for vacuum leak) and I’ve cleaned the IAC valve (prior to replacing cylinder head and timing chain) I just put timing chain, oil pump, water pump, cylinder head, cams, etc. the truck runs fine but the idle will not come down! I’ve adjusted the throttle cable and backed the idle screws on the throttle body all the way out but nothing seems to be working. I’ve plugged the computer up and cleared all the codes and still nothing. Here are the codes but I don’t think they are the problem. what could it be? Should I replace the IAC valve, the throttle body, throttle position sensor... how do I fix this. I just rebuilt the whole thing and now something simple is keeping me from driving it. I am thinking that the evap vent control valve is stuck open. Locate the line off the intake, take it off and plug the port and see if that brings the idle back down.
