I’m currently buying the 5100s front and rear, do I need to run a block in the rear? Thank you in advance.

Depends on what your going for, and what height the fronts are to be set at.

    1. What height are you setting the fronts to?
    2. Do you want to maintain the factory rake? (height differential from front to back)(factory setup is the rear is 2" higher, generally)

Do you “need” blocks to adjust height in the rear depends on where you set the height on the front coils and your preference. So if you set the front coilovers to stock height, and you are happy with stock height, then no need for blocks on the rear.

I want to set the fronts to 2.5” so I can fit 33 nitto with 17 inch wheels.

Satoshi, debadged, rear view mirror bracket, tail gate hose clamps, trimmed mud flaps.
You will be nose high, and your ride will be stiff with the billies at 2.5”.

Look into OME springs instead of preloading 5100s.

Avoid blocks at all costs due to increase wear of the current leaf springs and possible axle wrap issues. Go with either an aal or preferably a full leaf pack. If you go with the cheaper route of an aal vs a full pack, I would go with a wheeler's 3-leaf aal vs a single aal due to better ride qualities.

You can fit 33s with less lift if necessary.
