I believe that goes to the license plate illumination circuit. The towing harness if you have the towing package would have more wires than that.

Yep, 4 terminals is the license plate lights. There's 2 terminals for each light.

Suggest wrapping the connector with electrical tape to keep contacts clean until you find the connector.

Pretty sure that's the connector for the OE back up camera.

That’s what I was thinking but I believe the back up camera is above that.

That looks like OP's back up camera wiring, but it's not factory.

You can see the wiring to the passenger side tag light below the connector and running to the right, and the tag lights wouldn't have a power and a ground for each bulb in a connector, there's no need for all that. And the towing harness would have more than 4 wires.

Also a dead giveaway is the fact that the connector is clipped to the frame exactly where the factory camera plug is (so it doesn't dangle when you have it unplugged) and is the same connector as the factory camera.

You sir would be wrong, they have 4 wires. VVVVVVVVVVVV

It could be the camera but unlikely. Depending on what color the wires are at the connector. The camera connector would be black, white, red, and a blue shield wire. The license plate lights would be green, green, white w/black stripe, and white w/black stripe.

OK, you got me, good for you.

Doesn't change the fact that it's the plug for the camera.

Source: It is. Had to hook mine up when I took the walk-in cap off and put a tailgate back on.
