Hi Everyone,

We have been getting requests lately for plug & play Homelink® mirrors WITHOUT compass display for the 2019 Tacoma's, for trucks that are equipped with the factory auto dim-only mirrors. Though the compass Homelink® mirrors we have for the 2016-2018 trucks will work on the 2019+ trucks, some of you have noted interest in a mirror without compass display as the newer trucks now have it on the dash, so having it on the mirror would be redundant.

So...we now have a couple of options - both of these mirrors are auto dimming of course, and both have buttons that are backlit in white (it's bright enough to be seen at night but not so bright as to be annoying, nor will it clash with the existing interior lighting). We have them with Homelink® Version 4 and also with Version 5. Both versions of Homelink® will work with all openers, current and prior. And if you have a new enough opener that is also equipped with the garage door status indicator option, the Homelink® V5 mirrors have the garage door up/down indicators (these will only work if your opener correspondingly has this feature - see your opener's documentation for more info).

In addition, both of these mirrors do not require the use of an adapter harness - the existing factory 12 pin mirror harness plugs directly into the mirror! On these mirrors, the connector is located on the mirror bracket and will be hidden under a cover once the mirror has been installed. These will also work on the trucks equipped with the optional safety systems & won't interfere with any of the sensors located on the windshield.

Otherwise if your truck has the plain mirror, your truck is not pre-wired for the mirror. So for this scenario, you will need a wiring harness to install the mirror. However, you won't have to look too far...the factory mirror wiring is available in a connector in the base of the A pillar. If you have to wire yours in, we will include some info on where to find the wiring so you won't have to hunt around for it. Mirror wiring harness is $25.

Pricing on the mirrors: $169 plus shipping for the auto dim mirror w/Homelink® V4 or $199 plus shipping for the auto dim mirror w/Homelink® V5. Mirrors are used but in excellent shape & we warranty them for 1 year.

7% sales tax is additional if you are in Indiana, +$30 additional shipping to Canada.

I may be in touch, I was told the SR does not have wires for the auto dimming mirror. Not sure why one would want one without compass, if I was to do this mod I would want compass in possible blue led reading.
I asked the Toyota people, they were the ones who told me I could have no auto dim mirror.

While I am up there I would want to wire in my dashcam, I read there is constant on and a switched on for mirror harness. Maybe you know of this?

 

Correct...both constant hot & ignition switched wires are available in the connector that's located in the base of the mirror, so when you're wiring in the mirror you can also run the wires for your dash cam at the same time.
