This paint is total crap (Rust-oleum Roll Bar & Chassis paint). Brake fluid eats it up. Not sure what other automotive chemicals it cannot take. Strongly suggest you do not use this paint.

Last year I did fairly extensive rust chasing. Used "Rust-oleum Roll Bar & Chassis paint" on larger flat surfaces. On the back label it says "one part epoxy". Good to 250 F. Sounds like it should be a fantastic truck frame and underbody paint. I've used Rust-oleum for forever. Its been a solid brand. So I bought it.

This spring I installed OME 95R's on the truck. This weekend I got around to replacing the rear brake lines with extended SS. Lost about a 1/2 cup of brake fluid while doing the brake line replacement.

See second photo below of the rear axle. You can see where the Rust-oleum paint puckers up and just peals off in small sheets. This is due to DOT 3/4 brake fluid dripping on it.

Most spray paint isn’t resistant to brake fluid.

    Not a fair review.

Maybe tell us about a paint finish that brake fluid won't damage. Should be a very short list.

    Totally fair review.

The factory finish on the axle, the factory top coat, and the Dupli-Color engine enamel are all unaffected by the brake fluid. There is POR15 under there but I don’t think it got splashed.

This stuff should not be advertised as an automotive product if it can’t withstand sporadic splashes. I have not seen paint stripper work as fast as the brake fluid did on the Rust-oleum.

Dude. Read the back of the brake fluid container. It destroys paint. Period.

LOL, OP the paint isn't crap because it can't take brake fluid leaking onto it. They didn't design this and test it for vehicles leaking fluid everywhere. To say a product is crap because your vehicle has unknown variables, that not a single paint company is testing for is ridiculous and unwarranted.
