Missus and I coming up on 50 years of wedded bliss. People ask how it lasted so long and I tell them I learned how to say "Yes Dear" very convincingly :)

My wife does mine. Not enough hair for a trip to the barber shop.

I go crappie fishing with my former barber, and he said she does a pretty good job.

I do tip fairly well though :proposetoast:

I miss Jim - he ultimately got permanently banned and disappeared from FB - although his page is (or at least was) still there. I saw a picture of a Vizsla the other day and it reminded me of him.

I hope everyone is well! Just went through a major $$ hemorage - had to replace the whole house generator, although the new one has much more capability for the same size, had my home computer die and just finally got the new one pretty much organized, have to take the Tacoma in for a Check Engine light this week and now need to put new tires on Lynn's car. Who needs money, anyway?

    Morning all:
I think we have all been there Mark, just be glad you have the resources when things happen in bunches!

Just saw where there was another mass shooting in Dayton, two in two days, what the heck is going on!
If you look at statistics, AT LEAST 200K people are killed by hospitals every year (I have seen figures as high as 400K) , and 70K are dying of drug overdoses, by my math that's an average of a minimum of 548 people a day being killed by hospitals and an average of 191 people a day dying of drug overdose, don't see that on the news too often! :( :(

What Carl said Mark. Some days I wonder what will go next. Hope the MIL light on the Tacoma is nothing serious.

I don't want to start a political/racial/who is responsible post so I'll just agree with what Carl said and offer my prayers for the families of those killed and for the wounded in Texas and Ohio :pray:

Can't believe how pricey whole house generators are, plus what is only offered. Lucky I have a much smaller genny that I had wired up when my garage was built which powers my stuff except the electric clothes drier.
We only hear about gun violence on the news. Not always how many parents killed their kids, accidents at home, so on.
Got my Softopper mostly installed yesterday, not a one hour job, need to remove the vinyl windows and put the screens in, add velcro strips and a couple snaps. Which part is the passenger side, where are the colored dots, that snap snaps? It looks like it is going uphill, did I do something wrong? Got it I think, pull here, push there, loosen that. Should be water tight.

Yea Ken, it wasn't meant to be political, just some other things happening that IMO are totally unacceptable.
BTW, it was also mentioned in the one article that those on medicare run a higher risk of being killed while in a hospital, sounds like a plan to thin out those useless old people to me!

Saw the Lt. governor of Texas on TV this morning and he correctly pointed out that we have always had an abundance of guns in the U.S. without the mass killings of the last 20 years.

The guns do not act by themselves so I agree with him.

There does seem to be a corelation with taking prayer out of schools, removing mention of God in any public space including Christmas manger scenes.

The increase in violent video games available to kids of all ages coincides with the timeline of these mass shootings also.
