Looks like the new regs are out for us and there’s no either sex days on national forest for most of us in the state this year. Even with bow or muzzleloader, which is typically either sex for 5-6 weeks.

I grew up in FL , A spike was a trophy, and while KS has some significant drawbacks longterm, I am making the most of the years we are here hutning wise.

My brother lives few miles north of Leavenworth. He's taken some real nice bucks over the years.

I am about 15 miles southwest outside of Lawrence, I will never get used to seeing a field with 40-50 deer out feeding in the summer. i used to hunt on timberland leases in the deep south growing up, and you were lucky to see a doe some days.

I heard you once went to a vacant lot for a drink and waited for them to build a bar; when they finished you went in and ordered a drink paid you tab and burned it to the ground, because you were always told to leave a place like you found it...

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
Just moved a stand to another location, put out corn, batteries in feeders, new ground blind, mended some older stands, and almost ready for the season to start.
