About a 2 years ago ARB switched the bonded seal manufacturer. They have had problems with the seals since although they switched manufacturers again about 6 months ago so they might have it figured out now. ECGS did my 3rd members so it was done right and they warranted all the failures

Yeah I read about that too. I just hope that it’s not a constant issue after dropping 3500 for it all

I haven't seen to many issues of air lockers leaking, but keep spare orings and be meticulous during the install and you should be fine.
If you are really interested in a locker that's not going to leak, have electric issues or have to be rocked back and forth. The only truely mechanical locker I know of would be a torsen style locker and the drawback to that design is if you get a wheel airborne it will act like an open diff- until you apply a little brake pressure and give the airborne tire some resistance and it will lock right back up again.

Welcome, but that's not a locker. It's a type of limited slip and still isn't as good as good as a full locker, electronic or air. It still requires wheel slippage to work.

Fair enough; i have always looked at as more of a locker than a limited slip, but you are correct-it is a limited slip and shouldn't have posted it as a locker. Excuse my slip(pun intended), I am more familiar with road and snow running and slippage is just the mindset I am stuck in and where my experience is coming from. Forgive me, if this sounds garbled and incoherent. My son is starting to teeth and sleep is non-existent.
