What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Didn’t do anything yet, but I got something in the mail today! 5100s all around, OME 887, and HS 3-leaf AAL from Headstrong Off-road. This will hopefully be going on in the next week or two!

 

Powertray and Switchpro 9100 installed FINALLY!

Still running it w/o accessories as I "kind of" don't trust my wiring just yet

 

Awesome! I have that exact setup and am very happy with the ride! Still has a nice rake......

 

I live in AZ and you find cars here 20 years old with absolutely NO RUST! LOL

 

Did you do the ECGS bushing swap? Any vibrations?

Haha. I'm obsessed about the rust problem. So, I clean it often and Fluid Film also touch up with paint where I find scrapes and dings.

 

What lift height did you get out of it?

 

Looking good! I’ve talked to a few people who have this set up and they all had high praise! I can’t wait to get it all on!

 

I'm interested in the lift you get. Please update once installed. Also, how will you be addressing the "bro lean"?

 

I definitely will put up some pics and measurements as well. What do you mean “bro lean”. I was thinking bro lean was when the back sat lower...

It's my recent understanding that the "bro lean" is the drivers side slightly lower than the passenger side but perhaps I am incorrect. I had bought an adapter plate for the front strut to compensate and then was going to install the 5100s for the front to level off my truck since I have upgraded the rear with 5100s and the RoadMaster Active Suspension kit.

 

Bro lean is front higher. Taco lean is front driver’s side a little lower then the other three sides. Rake is back being higher.

 

Gotcha, yeah as other people have said the drivers side lean is the taco lean. Haha too many leans. The Headstrong kit comes with a 1/4” top plate spacer to help level things out side to side in the front

My truck actually suffers from this and I have a radflo system put on and was looking to fix the lean and raise the front slightly. Having zero experience with suspensions and going with a local shop's recommendation. I am looking to fix the issue myself. This probably should move to the suspension forum, but is "taco lean" what I should be searching for on the forum to get more of an understanding so I can post a coherent help/advice thread?

 

I think the fixes are pretty well documented. I’ve known a little about it as it is also a gen2 issue. I’ve been researching lifts the last couple weeks and think the plate or coil overs are the easiest fixes.

Although if you’re offering info, I would def create a post in the suspension forum. That’s what makes TW great. Lots of points of view, and wide variety of opinions and fixes. The more info, the better, if you ask me.
