Ok my son got a great deal on a behind the backseat sub and amp. He has some friends that are in to installing systems so they all got together and installed it. A day or two later he turned on his AC and it will only blow cold out of the driver side vent by the door. The other three vents blow but only worm air. He swears they put the dash back together the same as it was. I find it hard to believe that they didn't cause this problem. Now he wants me to fix it because his GF is sweating in the passenger seat. That's what dad's do though right. Before I start taking shit apart I figured I would ask if anyone has had this problem before. Thank's

Classic example of low freon in these trucks. I doubt it has anything to do with the sub install.... unless they drilled a hole in the evaporator. ;)

I agree. I had the same symptoms and it was due to a leak and low R134a.
old on the drivers side and progressively warmer as you move to the passenger side.

    Worm air? Sounds awful.

I would only do it if my son was helping me 100%

I would approach the issue as an A/C one and not related to the sub install. Unless he replaced the had unit you don’t have to rip out all thar much of the dash.

My 2014 did this and dealer fixed it for free. Said sorry Toyota’s fault. They said they recharged it.

Didn't think this was possible until it happened on my wife's Honda.

Wow thanks guys. Y'all just saved me a lot of unnecessary work. Just a coincidence I guess this happened after the install. Maybe he just noticed it then. I hope they didn't drill no holes in anything. I will put my gauges on it and check the Freon. Thanks.
