I was at a BBQ this past weekend and parked my Tacoma, nose down, on a downhill gravel driveway. Come time to leave, I had to back up the driveway. It was a ridiculous sight. I’m sure you already know how absurd the reverse gear ratio is on the 6MT. Well I got to experience it first hand in front of friends and family.

First attempt: medium throttle, slow release - nope engine nearly died.
Second attempt: heavy throttle, quick release - nope engine nearly died.
Third attempt: more throttle than is necessary, clutch burning release - spit gravel everywhere.

4-lo and Clutch Start Cancel next time, I guess. So. Stupid. Arrrrrggghhhh!!! I’m selling this thing! :D

I’m kind of at that point with my blow up doll. Seems to be leak prone

When the engine and transmission blew up on my F150 at 65000 miles. The repairs were 100% covered under warranty. Upon pick up I drove across the street and traded it in on my Taco.

Not sure if “Good riddance” to the Tacoma or to me and this forum... I probably should have tagged this thread “Not Serious” - forgot I was on Tacoma World.

Had something similar happen to me a couple weeks ago. Not an I’m-selling-it event but I get it

Put this on your to-do list. It allows you to go into 2-low by tricking the truck into thinking it’s in 4-low

If they can't fix my front bumper facia it might be what makes me kick it down the road. It won't stay clipped in and I only have just over 1100 miles. Where now on two days of radio silence with Toyota. I plan to ring my service writer in the morning and ask what's up.

I turned up the boost on my 535I and pushed the head gasket out at 70k miles filled it up with Barr’s stop leak bunch of dash lights came on immediately after but it kept it from overheating. Drove to the Toyota dealership and traded it in for a Tacoma. The secretary at the dealership is like wow that’s a really nice car black on black. I’m like trust me you don’t want that car.

You did it on purpose to show off to friends and family, don't deny it. It's fun going 20mph in reverse while spitting gravel!

They were under no obligation to buy it...I was expecting 6k but when they offered 13k I just couldn’t say no.
