    Can you guess where I live? I’ve had my 17’ Tacoma TRD Sport for a little over 2 years now, and yeah, I love it! First new car ever.... Every time I look at it I can’t believe it’s mine.
    When I was a kid an older friend bought one of the first 4x4 Toyota trucks on the island. Probably a 1979. Everyone wanted one. It was perfectly suited for all the rugged off road trails that led to many remote beaches and coastal fishing spots.
    20 years later I buy my first Toyota truck, but it’s a 92’ 2wd. I really pushed the limits of where you can take a 2wd. Getting down some these 4x4 trails wasn’t so bad, but I had to rely on momentum and choosing the best possible line to get back up to the highway.
    Fast forward to 2017 and after working my ass off for 20 years or so, I put myself in position to buy a new Tacoma.... I researched all the different models and based on what I could afford and what was suited to my personal requirements, I chose a metallic grey TRD sport, 4x4, V6, manual 6 speed, extended cab. I have always driven manual shift, and I wanted an extended cab for the combination of a 6 foot bed and the shorter wheel base. I don’t have a need to carry 4 passengers.
