I hope they do as well. Many other jurisdictions have done away with them.

They'll keep doing this until they decide to implement any changes. I'm hoping that they do it sooner rather than later.
    I hate front plates.

would be interesting to see what the cops would say after we tell em,
'Yeah went off roading for a bit and the plate got scratched and half the vinyl sticker got ripped off' :notsure:
do we get a ticket for not having a front plate?

At least with the standing letters you can figure out something, Guess this is why we have 2 plates

I would say yes. The law doesn't say anything about if your plate gets damaged off road. It says you gotta have one on the back and one on the front. Period! Your reason may be understood by a simpathetic judge? But that's after the hassle of getting a ticket in the first place.
I say it's time to get rid of the front plate!!!

Anyone like the new Blue plates? I think they are made of some sort of plastic.

it's the same sheet metal we have now, just a vinyl sticker slapped onto it. no punch outs or anything.
Ontario apparently has had blue plates back around in the 70s. so having blue plates is ok i guess.

    IMO i hate them :notsure:
you actually cannot read them in the dark.
If some twat sideswipes you in the dark and hauls ass out of there, and your dashcam sees it the entire event, there is a chance you won't be able to read that plate, which means you're shit out of luck
