Can someone teach me or link me how to add an amp while utilizing the factory headunit?

I read something about bridging the rcas. I’ve hooked up my fair share of aftermarket stuff but never to a factory unit.

    Please and thank you!

I’m going with a 5 channel amp so I can add a sub down the road.

I’ve already replaced the stock speakers.

I just did the same thing on my 2013 access cab. The stock radio on mine is a 2 channel radio so all I had to do is run new radio speaker wires from the radio output side to the amp input and then run new speaker wires from the amp output back to the front speaker wires going from the radio to the speakers. Naturally I had to cut the speaker wires off the back of the radio to do this while leaving enough at the radio plug to tie into for the amp input. Added rear speakers also and ran those wires off the amp to those speakers. It's important to match the amp to the speakers you are going to use. I used JL Audio speakers with a 60RMS rating and powered them with a Rockfort Fosgate amp with 50RMS of power per speaker. I have the amp output set at about 25% of maximum and the speakers sound FANTASTIC. The Radio works really good and there isn't any distortion in the speakers at any sound level. Front speakers are 6x9 component and rear are 5x7 (I had to make my own speaker mount for these)
