My first Tacoma had 18” after market wheels with 265/65/18 bfgs on it. I like the wheels and look and kept the set up over the years. Now I’ve got new 18” wheels with tires coming up on being 6 years old.

I am going to lift my truck and am considering going to a 255/70/18. Wheel offset is +12 with 5.50 backspace.

Anyone running something comparable with a 2” lift?

And stock would be a 30 offset so I’m thinking I should be okay. Thanks.

That Barcelona Red looks so good. I was soo close to buying that color when I was negotiating my super white.
It seems like the -12 is the standard when going larger. But I’m not sure how big of an impact it would have if I go with the 255/70....
    Thanks for posting.

Very nice looking truck. How does your truck ride compared to stock with the 5100’s. Also do you have any issues with rubbing. Did you have to trim anything?

Finally pulled the trigger. 18x9 +1 Fuel Contra 265/65/18 Ridge Grappler. Bilstein on all four corners. Front set at 1.5 inches with 1.5 tapered block in rear. I wanted to keep factory rake. I already had 50,000 miles on this truck and I can tell you it rides better than factory with this setup. I was prepared for it to be rougher riding but it is not.

Were the spacers needed to clear the UCA?
