New to the group and looking forward to doing some mods to our 2016 TC OR, INFERNO.

Can anyone provide the best source for black emblems, including raised letters for tailgate? Undecided on whether I should use the overlays for the emblems or swap them out. Also want to insure I get a quality product. Links would be appreciated!

    Thank you!

Amazon, eBay. That’s where I have seen them.

The OEM overlays are really good due to the fit and the adhesive.

Dealers ask $400, but you can get them on eBay for about $100.

It kills me because it's just plastic, but you are paying for the fit.

Use Plasti Dip. It will look just as good but 1/15th the price

Oh, and if you have a Pro, OR or Sport, and you are looking for a little color.....I love this, and stay away from the plastic versions.

Hey Bud, I think those are for 2nd gen Tacos. The font looks different. The slant on the T is going the opposite direction from the 3rd Gen emblems.

Here are the ones I ordered from eBay (as recommended by fellow TW’er). There are a BUNCH of eBay emblems that are mislabeled as 3rd gen.

For the tailgate letters I went with Tuffskinz. Seems to be a favorite around here.

Have had both on the truck for a week now. Both easy to install and look good. Haven’t tried to wash my car yet though.

Heck, I'd just spray paint the badging with my favorite rattle-can and just buy new badging if I wanted the chrome back (probably never would)...

+1 for the dip...$6.79 at ace hardware, going on 7 months now and still looks great. If it ever peels, there’s plenty of dip still in the can.

Hit up this guy for decals http://jupiteronearth.co/

He’s a TW member and he’s got a bunch of stuff including tailgate decal inserts.

This is his two tone insert (colors are your choice) and you can see my dipped V6 emblem there too

I bought an OEM overlay kit from eBay with the tailgate letters. The part number for the kit was for the matte/satin finish overlays but they sent me the glossy black overlays. I contacted the seller and she said that Toyota stopped supplying them the matte version... Meh...
