these guys here do a340 converters. same as what you linked, just their website https://ftiperformance.com/Street-Racer-Lock-Up-Series-Torque-Converter-95-A340-SRLTO.htm

I will be purchasing one of their converters as my next mod. Probably in the 3200-3400 range. Otherwise a great value performance option is to send your factory converter to someone like "Great Converters" in Texas and they can restall your factory converter to 2800 rpm range for $350. I did that with my last 4runner and it was amazing! Can only imaging what 3200+ would be like.

    Awesome!

Do you have a valve body upgrade?

    Did you share your build?

DIY. Same thing ITP charges $700 for. It’s messy, but easy.

Does it come with a340 instructions?

I thought if you send in they port it?

I installed my headers, Cat Back and S/C on my own, but I had instructed for my model.

The a340 has 3 or 4 variants and it includes instructions for each. It comes with drill bits needed to port the necessary passages. You can choose truck, towing, and hot rod or something along those lines. It also includes new accumulator springs. No part of the VB is left untouched. You can do it in about an hour, hour.5 maybe.

Do you think it would ever get annoying?
    (Fixed stall)
    Stuck with shift at 3200?
    It’s a fixed shift application

I don’t use my truck as a daily driver, but sometimes I like to take it easy and drive regular

Looks like your truck is a race truck

    Thoughts for moderate use?

I have a intermediate skill set for working on my truck.

Just trying to figure out of this is something I can do. VB

I have never done something this mechanically technical before. Drilling holes into a VB sounds pretty technical. I have A LOT of patients, always take my time and do the research, but the most complicated thing I have done is install my S/C and headers

Scale of one to ten on difficulty?

    1-Oil Change
    10- Engine internal mods

I give it a 3. The hard part is getting underneath the truck while pulling the pan and valve body. It's messy your first time for sure. Then it's just a bunch of 8mm bolts sandwiching it together. The instructions show you exactly which balls to remove, which springs to replace, and which holes to drill for your desired shift effect. My truck is 99% daily driven. I take it to the drag strip maybe 3-4 times/year. It's a full interior quad cab that weighs a healthy 3550lb with me in it LOL. The last converter I had was a restalled converter from Great Converters at 2800. You'd never know it wasn't stock unless you were half into the throttle. People daily huge converters. The misconception is that they have to rev to this point to get moving or they have to shift at this point and that simply isn't true. Modern high stall lockup converters are extremely daily-able.

    Awesome!

    Sounds totally doable!

Now I just need to just decide which I’m going to do first

Methanol Injection and smaller S/C pulley
    or
VB and torque converter ( converter may have to wait because of price)

    Thanks again for the help

This is what I call a cheap mod!

Do the valve body first imo. The other stuff is just more stress on the thing you are trying not to break.
