How many miles? Automatic or reverse?

It is actually fairly commonplace for trucks under or around 60K to experience clicking which is 90% of the time due to the fact that A. they did not grease the brake caliper slide pins on the brakes from the factory and B. The fact that they're (Toyota) using only one pressure retention spring per side on the fixed caliper slide pins to keep the brake pads from shifting around.

The fix is to lube the slide pins and install a secondary pressure retention spring on the upper portion of the pads giving you two per side as they actually need to be. Bye bye initial clicking in reverse and drive.

I’m thinking this might be it.
