Yeah, I have a small molle bag on my swingarm now and it’s good for small things (hat, extra gloves, coffee thermos) but not much else. I had the same thing on my sporty and it worked at the time as well. I mainly want something that’s easy on/off and can fit my laptop for work which is about as big as your standard sheet of paper. The hard cases being weatherproof and lockable are a plus without going all out bagger. Im just kind of over wearing a backpack on the scoot.

I mounted a .50cal ammo case on the tailgate of our Jeep as a lockable storage (those under seat Jeep safes are ridiculously priced) that system worked great- fit a 13” MacBook.
That would be a great set up on a rat bike!

Just signed up for the DGR next month, I'll be doing the one in Philly. It's for a good cause supporting prostate cancer and men's mental health. Check out the link below for more info and locations.

some oil, a filter and a front stand all arrived on time
should be able to tackle this first oil change now with relative ease...

I probably should get a new washer for the oil drain plug though before doing this, the bike has 499 miles on it currently. My plan was to change it at 500 miles, but might take it up to 600 miles as per the owners manual. Either way probably an insignificant difference, just being a stickler as this is the first brand spanking new machine I ever own.

You guys ever lost a nut or bolt working on your bike? I'm workin on my evo sportster pressing in some poly handle bar dampers. Sumbitches dont wanna go in so I made a little press with the front gas tank bolt/ nut and a couple washers. Worked well but I ended up dropping the nut when taking it off and I swear it disappeared into another dimension. Searched the floor in my garage + every crevice on my bike. I dont mind buying another nut but its driving me nuts that I cant find it.

If you find it you will most likely find all your missing socks and any 10mm sockets you may have lost over the years.

These little extendable magnets are great if you don't have one already. Helps when you can't reach what you dropped, even if you don't see it just fishing this thing around in the general area you can get lucky and the missing nut jumps out of it's hiding spot.

Ya know I almost bought one of those from autozone a few days ago, they have them right by the register with all other little doo-dads that you don't think you need but you probaby do. Guess I should've bought it

I have one that looks more like a pen, the magnet head is a lot smaller which I think is more important to fit into those shit areas where hardware tends to fall into.

That actually looks like a riser bushing too. I know you said rear tank mount but since you were working on the risers I’d double check.

    Sick dent

I actually love the look of these setups and definitely something I'd like to get in the future. Having a watertight, and safe solution to store expensive camera gear is difficult especially when space is already limited on a motorcycle and I think this is the best possible solution.

I'm already building them for my bike. :anonymous:
1"- .120 wall round tube matches the frame so is doesn't look obnoxious. The cases are really nice. and feel sturdy as hell. I'm having clearance issues with the stock taillights so I'm heading to Alloy Art this week to pick up their strut mounted minimal lights to clean up the rear and it'll allow me to move the "bags" aft about 2 more inches. My plan was always to clean up and smooth down the lines of the bike from stock. The bags are the only thing that doesn't follow that plan, but they most likely won't be mounted full time.
