Decent CAD program that doesn’t break the bank?

    Right now I had to switch from CAD to Revit and it's a pain in the ass. The program has a mind of it's own and does what it wants to do. The biggest problem with revit is everyone needs to be on the same data base from the beginning of the job

    Yeah revit is great for making autodesk money. You almost have to stay up to date and buy the new version.

    i was given a 3 day class and told if you dont learn it we will get someone else who can (2014). Im pretty damn good at it now 5 years later

    I took a 100hr class for it, my work sponsored it. I’m coming from CADmep fabrication. It’s just the engineers don’t have the entities with the proper dimensions. So most of the time you end up converting things to CAD or CAD to revit just to coordinate the job.
