On the highway with high inflation pressure it makes sense. 31"/35" x 4.30 = 3.81. It would be akin to having a taller 3.81 axle ratio, so your engine is at a lower rpm at any given road speed compared to before. Also explains why drivability is still passable - 3.81 is shorter than 3.73 in 2nd gen automatic trucks.

Depends on how YOU feel about current performance of your truck in daily driving. Where the 35s make their inertia felt is in acceleration. At the same time, the 3.5L makes less power off the line than the 4.0L. Some guys regear to 5.29 with 35s for this reason.

Did you compare with your phone gps to see how close the program corrected it to?

I had to use my phone on my motorcycle M test ride, because my fkin speedo is off on the bike. Not sure if its tire size or wtf it is, I am sure I have the same size as stock...anyway. Failed the 1st time because I didnt know it was.

Drive test guy kept telling me, 'you are speeding again'.

He told me on the 2nd try a week later 'Good job on the speed, you were 100% accurate no matter where we were'

It feels fine, no different from what i’ve been experiencing on 265s. The power delivery on these trucks is in higher rpm anyways.

Yeah, I used cell phone and also aftermarket gps navigator to confirm and both match with the speed truck shows now. MPG and ODO numbers are also adjusted with the tire size. It’s a known company, their tunes are legit. I could be the only tacoma on 35s with proper adjusted speed :anonymous:

It’s a 10 minute job from start to finish with all dash taking apart and assembly, just $$$.

I am truly amazed by how helpful this community is sometimes.

with every imaginable method to burn through your life savings to build the ultimate truck, that will change with every week of the year. but that's little stuff, who needs money anyways?
