trying to do some stuff and have had to replace the white plug behind the steering wheel. The cruise control among other things is wired into it. Is there a way to open it back up to add another wire to it? I need to get the wire out of the old one attached to my clock spring and put it in the new one which is also already snapped closed. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure you should be able to unsnap the back and reopen it. Then you need a very small screwdriver or pick to stick in there to press the small plastic tab in that holds the metal terminal in place. It takes some time to figure out exactly where to stick the screwdriver to unhook the terminal and pull it out.

But be careful. It only works when plastic is still flexible. With old plugs plastic can become brittle and then that experiment will most likely destroy the old plug.

The connectors are fairly delicate. I usually recommending buying used connectors on eBay or the such and experimenting.
Here's the EWD sheet for disassembling connectors. But it does have a lot to be desired. If you break the connector I believe it's 90980-11616.
