Yo guys, I have 2015 2.7 4x4. I hit a deer a few weeks ago and the airbags went off. They have to replace the seats and the seats are almost totalling the truck. Because of the airbags, what what have been a 1400 dollar repair (grill and bumper) is now coming out to about 16100. Does anyone have any aftermarket stay recommendations? Apparently the seats are about 5 Grand for oem.

That sucks sorry to here that. Your body shop has to look for some used seats from a salvage truck to try and bring down the cost. I know air bags are pricey i used to work for volvo and the steering wheel air bag alone was $1800

I would not be trying to save your insurance company money by getting junk yard seats.

You pay your premiums and this is where it pays off.

Two OEM seats don’t cost no $5,000 either.

If they do take the check from your insurance, get your junk yard seats and pocket the rest.

You can always take their totalling out value, buy the truck back and fix it cheaper. I’d do that before trying to save them money to not total it out.

Yeah I'm not trying to save them money I'm just trying to have a back up plan Incase they do end up totalling it. The guy from the body shop told me they were 5k with all the airbags and sensors in them. These would be complete seats basically just getting bolted in

Update...did you find any factory seats.I also have a 2015 double cab and they are trying to total it out. They saying $2600 for seat,$1300 for headliner which is not even damaged. And $382 for one fender flare it's crazy how they jack up the prices so much.I know some people want all new oem parts.I just want my truck lol it took a long time to find this one at a good deal.

Most insurance companies won’t allow junkyard seats because the airbags are a safety item so they must be new. Second if you go with junkyard seats on your and are in an accident in which the airbags don’t deploy and get hurt you have given the insurance an out when they ask to see from the previous repair if the seats were replaced with new oem. It sucks.

I'm trying to get a new estimate. If I can get it below $13,400 they'll pay to repair it instead of totaling it.It won't take much $382 fender flare found one for $94..fender I think was a little over $200 found one for $35..calls to replace bumper cap that can be repaired instead of replacing..my rim and rim cap ovet $200 had it checked out and balanced it's good to go..just a bunch of little things that added up.And the body shop will work with me on their labor prices. So even with changing the seat I should be alright crossing my fingers
