    Howdy,

I picked up a used Prinsu and the side rails are a bit faded, chipped and scratched. I haven’t installed yet and
would like to put a couple light touch up coats on side rails before installing.

Any advice on prep, paint choice would be appreciated.

    Thanks!!

    clean

    sand

    paint

You're likely going to end up repainting the whole thing unless you get a paint that happens to exactly match, or you just don't care about a little color miss-match. All blacks are not created equally, especially when you have one that's faded a little bit.

I've had pretty good luck with high temp BBQ paint. It's got a not-quite-flat finish. I've done a bumper and my sliders in the stuff and it's pretty durable.
