Hey, this may just be a first world problem but every vehicle I've had before would keep the radio on after turning off the vehicle until I either opened the door or a set amount of time passed. As I'm sure ya'll know, that's not the case with Tacoma's. Is there anyway to "fix" this so that It'll stay on without having to put the vehicle in R, N, D? Thanks in advance.

Turn off in gear is the only way.

German cars do this but are also famous for dying batteries.

Doesn’t happen for Tacoma’s. Even my 2015 Tacoma didn’t. Now my 2019 doesn’t. My Nissan Altima doesn’t either yet my wife’s GMC Terrain does. Have no use for it personally but some like it.

Going off on a slight tangent...
Is there a way to keep the radio on and have my phone's GPS navigation (via bluetooth) interrupt the radio when there is a turn coming up?

One press of the start button turns the accessories on.

This, just double tap when you turn off and the radio will turn right back on.
