What to do with off road skid plates

I live in Denver and upgraded my skid plates. What do people do with their original skid plates, trash?

I have kept every nut and bolt in case I ever decide to trade truck in.

 

Melt em down and make ammo.

 

give them away, kids with 5 luggers will love you. i have some i got for free that im gonna use to protect myself from all the racoons i hit. i have a 5 lug regular cab, its gonna take some work to make them fit. it also gives a great chance to meet some people

 

They make a good sled in the winter just put some rope through the front mount holes.

 

I usually give all my stuff to my friends

 

I tossed mine in a dumpster. Didn't figure anyone would want them, even for free.

 

My sport came w a more off road front skid, too much for my use
I changed it off to OR skid

 

All good suggestions althought the sled is the best one

Yes they do

 

Do the SR5 come with the TRD OR steel skids?

 

The sr5 comes with the thin steel ifs skid, but that is it (actually think they are the same across all trims except the pro). The mid skid and gas tank skid will fit, but on a 2wd there really is no reason for the mid skid.

 

Take em to the scrapyard stacked roof high with your old bikes, washing machines, manhole covers, and steel gates.

 

Unless you get them sitting on the coffee table, keep them. I mean keep them till you can sell them. There must be somebody somewhere who needs to replace one.

Worse case, go stand outside of a pick and pull look for someone who looks like they like Toyotas.

 

Don't forget mailboxes the blue kind, and guard rails.

 

Bleach?

 

Garbage, saves everyone from having to use them. They're 1.5mm thick sheet metal. Really there for looks and to say I have "skids"
