So my horn went out and it works when I turn my steering wheel. So I got a funny hunch it’s the clock spring. It’s a 2011 so it’s not covered by the recall if that even around still. So I ordered the part and searched how to fix it. Can anyone who has done the repair tell me if I would be able to straighten out my steering wheel when I put it back on. It sits about 5 degrees to the right side.

Unfortunately I know what you are going through and am about to have to do it again due to chinese replacement parts.

Mine did the same as yours first time, just horn and it worked at full turn until it eventually stopped that as well. Now after replacing with a cheaper non oem my airbag light has come on and steering controls stopped working...horn works though this time still. So if you buy the part, buy OEM and save you some trouble the chinese part lasted about a year.

Yes you will have to pull the wheel off in the process if I can remember correctly. You can mark it on the splines to keep it same as prior or adjust it like your asking, my guess though you might be just covering up an alignment issue, so maybe check that out prior.

Oops already ordered the Chinese one lol. And the wheel ended up cock-eyed like that after my last alignment. I brought it back to them about 2 weeks later when I noticed it and they said it wasn’t them and tried to charge me to get them to fix it (no wonder they went out of business before 2018 ended). So it’s either a botched alignment job from Kauffman tire or I tore something up wheelin. Hopefully it’s the first one:fingerscrossed:. But Ive been driving it like that for about a year now and haven’t noticed anything else weird.
