Need some help with this one. I changed my front struts and coils and the rear struts and leafs. This was a take off from a 2019 TRD. My truck is a 2014 AC 6MT. My question is this:

After doing this, I now have a new humming/vibration feeling, felt more at lower speeds and lower RPMs (I think I just heard it more). I hear it and slightly feel it beneath my feet. It is not constant, it's at one point during the revolution, over and over again, so I thought it was the tire or brakes, but I can't see anything that's rubbing. I didn't do any other work to the steering, wheels, etc.... Only swapped out the suspension parts.

It's really bugging me, I can't figure it out. Again, it was not there before the suspension swap. Please help!

Any thoughts on this? I don't think it's bearings of any kind, it only has 22,000 miles on it.

I did look that up, would it just pop up all of a sudden? It was only right after doing the suspension, kind of strange....

you might want to look at your drive shaft u joints. I started feeling a vibration when I would accelerate or decelerate. Took it to dealership, and it was the U joint on the rear of the drive shaft. Got it replaced and no more noise.. just my 2c.

Thanks, I'll keep it in mind. Mine is just more when I'm actually at speed, 20-35 mph mostly. It's also not a constant humming or vibration, it almost feels cyclical, which is why I thought something was rubbing. It speeds up as I go faster too, so I don't get it. Could the needle bearing be doing that? I thought that was more constant.

It usually presents itself after a lift. The 3rd gen stuff will lift the front of your truck an inch and throw the cv angles off slightly. If the bearing is worn, even an inch will make a big difference.

Try driving in a straight line with it groaning and switch to 4hi. It should go away.

People have even had issues with it on stock trucks!

Ahh I gotcha, it seems to be the case. I just had a chance to drive it and think it goes away when popped into 4hi. Hard to tell because it's such a faint noise. Thanks for the info. I think I'm going to brave the install myself. We'll see how it goes...

Replace it with the ECGS bushing or the new needle bearing will likely do the same. Bad design on toyotas part.

Yeah thank you, I plan on lifting the truck even more in the future, so I figure I might as well do this and hopefully fix this current issue. Kind of nervous for the install after reading a ton about it, but hopefully all goes well!
