It’s close to the bumper because it’s falling down without the tab. Not like the factory plastic bumper isn't touching the headlights as well. Gotta agree with the uphill battle though

Also, you reported the driverside headlight as broken before the leftside snapped as well - so are they saying you hit something twice that perfectly snapped the headlight tabs and nothing else?

I thought we zip-tied it better than that

That's true. Timeline is important here. If one side broke, went to foreign delear, then the other side broke then you have some ground to stand on.

Yep that’s exactly what happened. Driver side broke, had that looked at and zip tied up at the Denver dealership. Then about a week or two later, the passenger broke as well in the same exact way and the same tab. Which is exactly my point, unless I had two accidents, ironically on either side, that doesn’t make sense. I’m sure they’ll fight it but so will I :fingerscrossed:

How can they justify trying to charge you that much to replace 2 headlights ? Gl . Hope you win .

Your's like everyone else's was designed to fit on a rail car/ship, before anybody ever thought about taking it off road... Hold out for the 2020 LEDs.

Can you say aftermarket headlights? Very reasonable compared to $1500.00 I wouldn’t even let them do the body-work. Many good shops out there, no sense supporting someone who wants to hose you down. IMHO

Just noticed my headlights are slightly movable, and i’m starting to get a stress mark on one side. Too weak of plastic from the looks of it. I’ve offroaded mine a fair amount, but nowhere near as much as the trans-america trail’s vibrations would provide.

These trucks have been around a long time, without this being a common problem, so I wouldnt sweat it. Unless they changed the design in 2019.

Yeah, odd it moves though. Anyone else's headlights able to rock around somewhat? Like, it’s not sitting flush in the fender opening, and i can move it a bit within that. It’s not completely loose, but not rigid either
