Was it a iPhone update, or Entune update?

A friend has the same issue with her new Highlander Entune. My iPhone X works very well with my truck (2017 OR).

These entune systems suck. Mine changes it’s mind all the time whether it wants to work or not - no rhyme or reason. Usually to fix music (when I know it’s connected via Bluetooth) I have to go into my iPhone and switch the output to my car rather than my iPhone. Swipe up, hit the little blue target icon, make Car Accessory is picked.

I constantly have trouble with the Bluetooth on my iPhone X. Worst phone I've ever owned for bluetooth and I absolutely hate the POS. I have trouble connecting to anything from vehicles to speakers on the beach. My GF's iPhone 8 has no issues.
