It's a build for my daughter (26) and son (13) so they can race. I realized I like to work on fun stuff in my spare time. I just didn't want to paint the house.

I'm sure we'll be banging bumpers next season.

Vorra too. I'm trying to talk them into a split Fallon night race next season. 3 laps in the early race and 3 laps after the first pro car finishes at night.

Patrick and his competition is not so subtly trying to get me to buy one. Honestly, if I had the cash to buy a car, I would.

    I like this one more:

    https://classifieds.race-dezert.com/FOR_SALE:Single-seat-class-9-car--153455

Plus, I have friends that are consistently flaky enough to not be able to trust as a nav.

I think my real issue is that I am pretty hesitant to drop that sorta coin on a race car that I haven't even sat in one of yet...let alone done a lap in. All I've done is pull their busted ass car around a track once or twice. :D

Desert race cars can be had for that cheap out there? How much $$ are they racing for?

Dirt oval racing is king around here but you're looking at least $20k for a decent complete car (Only to race for $1000 a night lol)

We will see how the car is after the race in a coupe of weeks.

Class 9 cars are that cheap. For a competitive 1600 car you're in the 20k range. Class 10 50k range.

What's the payout for those respective classes?

Figure 50% of the entry fee. We don't do it for the money. We're in the wrong sport for that.

It depends on the class size. Usually payout is just above what you paid to race.

Props to Advanced Fiberglass, emailed them on Sunday just seeing about some new front glass, got a response within an hour, got a bunch of questions answered, custom gel coat that looks like a close match to my truck, glass ordered.

Yeah I emailed him randomly on Sunday while i was bored at work, got a quick reply back, emailed him a bunch of random questions about fitment and colors and shit and he responded promptly and professionally the entire time. Ordered Sunday, paid Monday, but 5 week wait on them right now booo. Not really in a rush for them TBH, but I am excited to see how close the color is. I know its not color match, but if its even close to the 2015 blue, shit I'll order some new rears as well.

They took on the great designs of glassworks, did away with the shitty customer service and now deliver on better wait times as well. I plan on ordering through them when I get a 3.5 kit.

Do they do some factory toyota colors or did you give them a paint code or something?
