Ok im throwin this code in my 96 V6 4x4. Do you think it would be safer to just go to the dealer to get them to fix it or do you think any reputable shop could do it right? I called the dealer and its $90 just to diagnose and find what the part is. It could be any number of different relays to sensors to evap canister. What do you think?

I just pulled the same code on my truck tonight. I'd like to know if it's the charcoal canister or something else?

Took it to the dealer. It was my charcoal canister and a check valve associated with the canister. Replaced and no check engine light for 2 weeks!!! WOOT

    P0141
    P0450
    P0446

It could be but the code goes for the whole evaporative emmissions system. There are a few other sensors and I'm sure they are associated with a few different systems. I am not sure what those other two are but I bet if you figure out what codes they are, you'll find out they all have a certain sensor in common. I dont know, just throwing suggestions out there. I hope it helped! All I know is I only threw P0446 not the other ones.
