This is for Canadians I guess but I've been frequenting the build and price section of their site plugging in different combinations and all of a sudden a couple of weeks ago the model names (sport, offroad, limited) dissappeared and were replaced with these non-descript names like "Tacoma 4x4 Double Cab 6A" and "Tacoma 4x4 Double Cab 6M SB". The toyota.com website still lists the models. What the heck Toyota?

Bad programmers. Poor operational control of staging.

Well, clearly Marketing would not tolerate giberish on a site like that. So this is likely test data that doesn’t belong there long term.

But then again, it is Canada so who knows, eh?

Though when you configure those, they give the options for TRD etc. It is messed up... Just like which can have what options and which cannot!

When I bought my 2017 it had the same thing up on the website. I didn't actually see the 'Off Road' or 'Sport' terms in the build section just in the promos and in the showroom.

You prolly figured it out by now but 6 = V6, A = Auto, M = M, SB = Short box. It ends up making sense after a little while. And remember there's different limitations on packages available to us canucks than down south as well.

I've been building off the site recently too (sorting out for possible next year buy) and noticed this also. I chalked it up to that '19's are basically done and waiting for the 20's to build with? Not sure...

    Good point. I'm not sure.

I still check daily to see how ordering for the 20's will go.

Hard to believe this one is soo much harder to navigate. When I bought my 2017 in Jan.2018, it was a much easier menu that separated the options by SR, SR5, Sport, Off-Road, Pro & Limited.
