Does anyone know approximately what valving would be good for the rear of a 2nd gen, steel bumpers, winch, extra spare, OME lift/Dakar springs, shell, etc.? Would out of the box valving be ok? It's driven 90% street, 10% trail. I'm pretty sure out of the box valving is 30/90, which seems a bit plush for compression and a bit stiff for rebound, but what do I know. I just know I had the fox performance series universal 10" (985-24-005) shocks and they were too harsh on road and didn't last very long.

I welded my own shock mounts to the frame btw, I can fit the factory series in the same size or the external reservoir in 11" (980-02-039), eyelets both ends, no stems for me. I'm heading out on a trip soon and need to figure this out asap, my truck is getting kinda scary on the freeway...oh, and I have bilstein 5100's in the front because, well, there really aren't many options and the OME shocks I ran before only lasted me 35k up front with no sway bar.

Whelp, alright then. We’ll see how 30/90 rides. I’m assuming something like 35-40/70-80 would be better, but 30/90 is probably still in the ballpark. We’ll see what happens. Anything is better than feeling like I got hit broadside by a cargo ship’s wake when I merge on the freeway.
