The CAF and Pima Air Museum are both really cool. Being an aviation nut case, I've enjoyed both of them. Haven't been to Pima in a number of years.

This popped up in my memories today. Watching WWII in HD and I see my grandpa's LCI #220 on screen. Who knows grandpa might be one of the guys in the shot

Just got pulled over for making a wide turn :notsure:

    • Blinker was on
    • Had green turn left arrow
    • Blinker was on for lane lane change
5AM only person on street at time.
    • Cop said he warning everyone because school is back in session and to watch for kids in intersection.
    • He also said most people he pulls over don't come to a stop before turning like they are supposed to do.
I saw the cop sitting there (while at intersection waiting for green light) and he pulled me over way after I was already passed him.

Anyone from Gilbert PD? Is this common?

Wide turns are illegal and slow traffic down. Left turn to closest left lane.... right turn to closest right lane. I am glad to see PD of any city out there trying to educate more people about this. I wish they would use youtube/hulu/TV/Radio ads to educate people on basic driving tips that help flow of traffic.

According to my dad, retired DPS, you must "establish" yourself in each lane in order to legally/safely change to the next lane. He said that the "established" part is at the discretion of the officer. For him, it was 2 seconds in the lane before moving to the next, that gave you enough time to make sure someone didn't sneak up on you. AZ Statute says you are to use your turn signal no less than the last one hundred feet traveled by the vehicle before turning. Gilbert PD has posted this on their social media pages several times trying to educate drivers.

    • Glad you only got a warning
    • Glad you used your blinker

Take this as an education moment, which I think it was intended, and be a better driver. No need to take a negative approach to it.
