Hey guys, Before you tear me up I have done a my research. Still confused. I just traded in my 2013 and bought a 2019. My 2013 has strut spacers that measure 1.5" maybe 2''. But I had 285/75 tires on there with no issue. My questions are; I see that there is a 2'' strut spacer from toytech but everywhere else seems to offer a 3" spacer or theyre calling it a "3 and 1 lift". A 3" spacer seems to be pretty large if you hope to avoid doing new UCA's for alignment . Then there are a few guys calling thier lift a 3'' but they have installed a 2'' spacer. super confusing.
If I put the 2'' spacer in and a 1.5'' block in the rear as recommended to keep TSS in check will I be able to fit 285/75 tires?
Could someone please iron this out for me.
    Cheers

Remember the spacer thickness is one-half the resulting lift. Ie. 1” spacer = 2” lift

Don't install spacers, save your money and get a real nice set of coilovers. Good luck.

Does this mean that the 2'' toytech option will be 4'' of measured lift?Does anyone have 2'' installed?

The rule of thump that 3'' of lift will require new UCA's in order to get proper alignment does that apply to the measured lift or the lift measured at the strut? I'm just looking to get roughly the same stance as my 2013 , and it looks like those spacers measure 1.5''. So that would mean 3'' of measure lift.?

I had spacers in my last truck for years . Never had any issues whatsoever, great stance , great ride . When the 2019 is a few years older then I'll probably join the big boy club Mully.

I think the weirdness comes in with the thickness and yield being spoken about interchangeably. Your math is correct. No feedback on 2” spacer. I only did a 1” spacer.

Yes, now that I know the difference I can see that nobody is specifying whether or not its yield or actual thickness. Super confusing .

Yep. I played it conservative but love how it came out. I have some pics in my gallery. @Mully is right too. Spacers aren’t the best option. I look at spacers like 1 ply toilet paper: you must know the risk before using.

absolutely. But I have my SAS 87 pickup for functionality. Strut spacers are what they are. Cheap and easy .

From what I’ve seen, 95% of the time they advertise the lift height, or yield, not the spacer thickness. If you look on eBay and Amazon, most make a point to call out the fact that the spacer thickness does not equal lift height, to prevent unnecessary CS issues.
