I guess I need to go ahead and start one of these. First time Toyota owner, a previous Jeep owner converted to the dark side. I love Jeeps, but their reliability isn't what it used to be. My commute is 40 miles one way, and my requirements where short wheelbase, 4x4 (real 4x4, with a two speed transfer-case, not that AWD BS), under 20k which didn't leave a lot of options. I really like how the truck drives, it reminds me of my 93 YJ, just with bluetooth and A/C.

-Bought: 7.29.19 (47xxx miles) from dealer in VA. The pictures online showed it was a clean stock truck, but when I showed up they had generously "upgraded" it with some cheap wheels, tires, and pin-striping.

    -7.30.19: pinstripes come off

-7.31.19: ugly wheels sold, stock aluminum wheels and tires installed

-8.1.19: found a rack on marketplace for $50, with a soft cover. Found out after the fact it its for a short bed, so the cover is useless. The rack will work well for Kayaks and such.

And that brings us to where its at today. I'm unsure of the direction I'm going to go on the tires, but that will be happening within the next month. I also plan to order a tonneau cover and a replacement for the cracked driver tail light next week.

Picked up a used softopper last night. I have new brake drums and a driver tail light sitting at home to install tonight. Getting it roadtrip worthy for this weekend!
